Stefanie Lapka is an Assistant Librarian in the Health Sciences Library. She supports multiple health programs at UH, including the College of Nursing, the Graduate College of Social Work, and the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Her interests include social justice in health sciences libraries, critical consciousness in health professions education, and health humanities and their application to health care education and practice.
Stefanie holds a Master of Science in Information Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas State University. Prior to joining the University of Houston Libraries, Stefanie was a medical librarian and a reference and instruction librarian at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
