Stefanie Lapka is the Interim Head of Health Sciences Libraries and an Assistant Librarian in the Medical Library, where she supports the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. Her interests include critical librarianship in health sciences libraries, critical pedagogy in medical education, health humanities, and the history of infectious diseases and medicine.

Stefanie received her Master of Science in Information Studies degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Texas State University.
