Emily Vinson is the Preservation Coordinator at University of Houston Libraries. In this role, she supports physical preservation activities across the Libraries and manages audio and moving image preservation and digitization initiatives. Emily's research interests include speech to text technology, audiovisual collections as data, and the history of public and educational television.
Emily holds a M.S. in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Preservation Administration.
Prior to joining the University of Houston Libraries, Emily was an archivist at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy, New York Public Radio Archives, and New York Public Library.
