Emily Vinson is the Audiovisual Archivist and curator of the KUHT and KUHF Collections at University of Houston Libraries. In this role, she works on audio and moving image preservation and digitization initiative and provides reference services related to the KUHT and KUHF Collections. Emily's research interests include speech to text technology, audiovisual collections as data, and the history of public and educational television.
Emily holds a M.S. in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Preservation Administration.
Prior to joining the University of Houston Libraries, Emily was an archivist at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy, New York Public Radio Archives, and New York Public Library.
