Ashley is responsible for creating and managing online materials to support the instructional goals of the Liaison Services department. She develops self-paced, asynchronous modules for online instruction, as well as managing the research guides created by other liaisons. Ashley also helps to deliver face-to-face library instruction. Her research interests include instructional technologies, games in learning and outreach, and advocacy for people living with mental illness in higher education.
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Mount Holyoke College, and a Ph.D in Historical Studies from the Graduate Division of Religion at Drew University. She earned her Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences from the iSchool at Drexel University (now the Drexel University College of Computing & Informatics). A Philadelphia native, she has also lived for some time in New Mexico, Massachusetts, and New Jersey before arriving in Houston.
