Andrew oversees the development, maintenance, and management of digital asset management systems for the University of Houston Digital Library. His research interests include linked data, metadata quality, systems architecture, and digital preservation.
Andrew earned his Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas. He also received Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in History from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and Grinnell College, respectively. Before joining the UH Libraries, Andrew worked as a Program Coordinator for the New Mexico historical newspapers digitization project at the University of North Texas (UNT) as part of a National Endowment for the Humanities grant to provide content for the Chronicling America website maintained by the Library of Congress. He also created descriptive metadata for many of the digitized historic Texas newspapers in the Portal to Texas History at UNT.
